02/08/08 - Update:  I'm not feeling too whippy today.  I didn't feel too whippy yesterday either.  So, Mom called Doc and as Mom is typing this for me I am on my way to the vet's office to see if Doc can make me feel better.  Please say a quick prayer for me and cross your paws if you will.

02/08/08 - Update 2:  WHEW!  Buddy is OK!  Doc thinks he somehow "kinicked" his back somewhere.  It's nothing major thank Heaven!  So, we are to give him Rimadyl every day....1/2 of a 25 mg tablet morning and evening.  Hopefully that will get him to feeling better soon!  Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and thanks for all the crossed paws too!

Hey there!  My name is Lil Buddy and I am the newest member of the Timmerman household!  My story is a bit long but it's worth reading!

Best I can remember is that I lived with my family down around St. Louis, Missouri.  They decided they didn't want me anymore because they got another dog and they decided they liked that dog better.  So, they gave me up to a rescue group.  Because of my age (I am 7 years old) that rescue group called my Grandma Judy.  Grandma Judy runs 7 Bells Sanctuary out of Cole Camp, Missouri.  Grandma Judy works mainly with senior dogs.  I arrived at 7 Bells Sanctuary on May 2, 2006.  If you would like to read more about my time at 7 Bells Sanctuary please click on the banner below.  It is linked to 7 Bells Sanctuary.  Right now I am on the "Pending Adoptions" page but I will be moved to the "Happy Tails" page very soon.

Anyway, Grandma Judy got a call from a lady and that lady ended up wanting to adopt me.  Mom had started volunteering with 7 Bells Sanctuary right about the time that lady called Grandma Judy.  So, it was arranged that Mom and Dad would pick me up from 7 Bells Sanctuary on June 16, 2006 and then deliver me to my new Mom on June 17, 2006.  Well, little did anyone know but I had already picked Dad to be my special person!  I rode in Dad's lap all the way from 7 Bells Sanctuary (about an hour and a half drive) back to Holden.  Then, I spent the whole evening in Dad's chair with him.  I rode in Dad's lap the whole way up to where my new Mom lives (about a 2 hour drive).  We all went in to the lady's house.  She was very nice and would make someone a really great Mom....just not me.  Dad got really upset when it was time to leave.  He started crying and had to go on out.  I tried my best to go out with him but they wouldn't let me.  The lady started crying, Mom started crying and the lady tried to get Mom to take me.  She said that my heart was breaking and so was Dad's.  But, Mom wanted her to be sure so they left me there.  Mom and Dad called just a little bit later to see how I was doing.  I was sad as you might imagine.  So, Mom and Dad turned around and came back and picked me up!  Grandma Judy says that Mom and Dad have now failed Fostering 101!!!  But, this coming weekend Dad will sign the adoption contract for me and I'll never have to leave my Dad again!  I am now a very happy boy and Dad is happy too!

Here are some pics that Dad took of me out in the garden on June 18, 2006.  As we get more pics of me I will add them!

Below are two new pictures of Buddy.  Karl took these pictures on December 26, 2006.
