This is Libby.  We adopted Libby from the shelter in Sedalia, Missouri.  Poor Libby has not had an easy life so far.  All we know is what we were told at the shelter.  We were told that they found Libby on the highway there in Sedalia.  She had puppies.  The puppies were all adopted.  Libby was adopted but the person brought her back.  

Karl and I think Libby has been abused at some point in her life.  She cringes whenever we try to pet her.  If she is laying down she will usually let you pet her but she cringes each time you rub on her head.  That tell me that someone's hit her repeatedly on her head at some point in time.  She has gotten much better since she's been here with us but she still has a LONG way to go before she will trust us completely.

This is Willie and Libby.  Even though she is WAY bigger than most of the dogs here she is really very gentle with all of them!
